Happy Birthday and Farewell to Anu

Today we met up with Anu, who has just come back from spending 6 weeks in Korea and a week in India. Unfortunately, she isn’t coming to Japan with us so we decided to meet up and share our summer stories. It was her birthday yesterday so we took her out for lunch which was at Wahaca where we tried some cactus tacos – a bit unusual, they tasted like “slightly pickled cucumbers” according to Omar.

We decided to go for something sweet by heading to Patisserie Valerie where we each had 1 and 1/3 cakes each. Yes, we shared one more after we had one each as I wanted to have another one, but I felt greedy eating another whole cake….
